  • The service can only be described in general terms. There was a problem with the door and it couldn't be opened. It couldn't be solved immediately that night. I arrived late, so I had to rest. It couldn't be solved the next day. Even the hotel didn't know what was wrong. In short, they have no problem making door cards. I live on the 9th floor. I don't know whether there is a cooling fan on the roof or something. It buzzes all night, affecting my rest. The facilities of shower room need to be improved.Special Promotion

Travelogue

  • Discovered the most convenient travel destination in Xiaogang area

What surprised me the most during my business trip to Haizhu District, Guangzhou and my visit to the old city area for three consecutive nights was not Guangzhou The Royal Garden Hotel's comfortable amenities, but its ultimate combination of "convenient surroundings and zero transportation burden". There was no need to waste half a minute on commuting, making it a cost-effective travel hub in the Xiaogang area.
The location of the hotel can be regarded as the golden coordinates of Haizhu Old Town. From Exit D of Xiaogang Subway Station on Line 8, you can walk 600 meters to the hotel entrance, and you don't have to take detours in the narrow alleys of the old town with your luggage. I landed at Baiyun Airport and took Line 3 directly to Line 8, which took a total of 55 minutes to get there, completely avoiding the risk of traffic congestion on the airport expressway. Going to Guangzhou South Station to catch the high-speed railway is more worry free. The entire journey from Line 8 to Line 2 does not require going outdoors. Including the time to walk to the subway station, it takes only 45 minutes to get to the high-speed railway station, without having to rush out two hours in advance. There is a shared bicycle parking spot 50 meters away from the hotel entrance. When you don't want to take the subway, you can scan a car and drive to any office building along the Jiangnan West line in 10 minutes, which is faster than taking a taxi during rush hour.
Draw a circle around the hotel, covering almost all of Haizhu's core business and leisure locations. It takes only 10 minutes to walk to Xiaogang Park. In the morning, you can take a walk around the lake and watch local elders practice Tai Chi and fly kites. You can instantly immerse yourself in the leisurely atmosphere of old Guangzhou. Walking along Changgang East Road for 15 minutes, you can enter the food cluster of Jiangnan West. From the old Guangzhou morning tea shop that has been open for decades, to the internet famous taverns and exotic restaurants, there are so many choices that you can't choose from. I specially counted them. Pazhou Convention and Exhibition Center is within 20 minutes' drive from the hotel, and Shamian Island is within 30 minutes' drive. Even if it's the Pearl River New City to see the night view of Guangzhou Tower, you can take the subway to a few stops directly, without repeatedly turning around.
The most amazing thing is the fireworks around the hotel, completely avoiding the premium of internet celebrities in the core business district. After taking two turns outside the hotel, there is a hidden Bra Chang restaurant in the alley that has been open for more than 20 years. For just 12 yuan, you can enjoy a well prepared and authentic Cantonese breakfast, which is much more authentic than the chain morning tea shops in the business district. You can walk 8 minutes to the old community of Xiaogang. The whole street is full of sugar shops and Wonton noodles shops that locals often go to. After working late at night, you can take two steps downstairs to eat a bowl of hot porridge, without having to pick up half an hour of takeout software. There are three different bus stops within a 300 meter radius. The direct bus to Baiyun Mountain scenic area can be obtained at Changgang Station, which is a 7-minute walk away without having to wake up early to catch a shuttle bus.
During the three days I stayed, I visited various project sites in Pazhou during the day, browsed through the old alley cuisine in Xiaogang on the way at night, and spent most of the weekend strolling in Shamian. I didn't waste any time rushing to catch a bus, and my daily schedule was relaxed and full. In the core area of an old city like Xiaogang, where every inch of land is precious, it's really easy to find a place with zero transportation burden and surrounded by surprises. Next time I come to Haizhu, I will definitely choose Guangzhou The Royal Garden Hotel as soon as possible.Show more

  • Lao Guang style foothold by the the Pearl River

This time I came to Haizhu District of Guangzhou to do business. I chose Guangzhou The Royal Garden Hotel as my destination. After staying for three days, I was completely absorbed by this hotel circle hidden in the old city, which steadily integrated the fireworks and travel convenience along the the Pearl River into the check-in experience.
The location of the hotel is really familiar to those who come to Haizhu for travel. It's less than 600 meters' walk from Xiaogang Subway Station on Line 8, so you don't have to wander around in the narrow alleys of the old city with your luggage. The surrounding road network is particularly smooth, taking a taxi to Pazhou Convention and Exhibition Center takes only 20 minutes, completely avoiding the most congested sections of Guangzhou during morning and evening rush hours. You can walk for more than ten minutes to the riverside trail by the the Pearl River. After dinner in the evening, you can walk along the riverside, watch the lights of the Guangzhou Tower on the other side of the river, and instantly feel the leisure atmosphere of old Guangzhou. The shops along the street downstairs are full of Laoguang snack bars that have been open for more than ten years. You don't need to travel far. You can eat authentic Braised Intestines and Boat Congee when you turn down the stairs.
As soon as you enter the lobby, you can feel the calm and elegant texture of the hotel. There is no redundant design with fancy colors, and the warm toned lighting combined with the clean marble floor makes the first impression particularly comfortable. The efficiency of check-in at the front desk is very high. I heard that this is my first time visiting Haizhu to explore the old city area, and I even took the initiative to recommend a niche walking route in Xiaogang Park to me. I even explained clearly which Lao Guang morning tea shop's shrimp dumplings are the most authentic. The room type I live in is spacious and has no sense of being cramped at all. The decoration of the room balances modern comfort with the delicate details of old Guangzhou. The illustrations of old Haizhu streets and alleys hanging on the walls quietly create an atmosphere unique to this old city area. The soft mattress provides a comfortable sleeping experience. I spent most of the day browsing through the sand noodles, and at night, I relaxed after lying down for a while. The sound insulation in the room is very good, and the hustle and bustle of the old city area is almost completely isolated. For two consecutive nights, I slept soundly until I woke up naturally.
What surprised me the most was the detailed configuration of the hotel. I drove here by tram, and there are charging stations in the underground parking lot. After parking, you can go upstairs without having to look for charging stations everywhere. The right to free parking also saves a lot of parking fees in the city. The layout of the desk sockets in the room is reasonable, and it is also convenient to handle some temporary work. The hot water comes out quickly and steadily, and after taking a shower, the whole person feels refreshed. When ordering takeout, the robot will directly deliver the food to the door of the room, without having to run downstairs by itself, which is too friendly for people who are tired of shopping. The small tea room provided by the hotel allows you to sit down and brew a pot of Kung Fu tea to chat with friends after finishing supper at night, relieving the fatigue of the whole day.
The experience of breakfast was also far more than expected. The freshly cooked Cantonese style and Congee were fresh, fragrant and delicious. They were paired with local Dim sum such as shrimp dumplings and mala cakes. You didn't have to get up early to find the breakfast shop, so you could eat enough in the hotel. After staying here for three days, I completely understood why many people who come to Haizhu for business trips or to explore the old city area consider it their first choice. It doesn't have overly exaggerated decoration, but it puts all the convenience, comfort, and thoughtfulness needed for travel into the details, without being distracted by trivial matters, and can enjoy the slow time in Guangzhou in a down-to-earth manner. Next time I come to Haizhu, I will definitely choose to stay at Guangzhou The Royal Garden Hotel as soon as possible.Show more
